Nitro Auto is the example all car dealerships should follow. Buying with them was nothing like any previous experience I have had. Carlos was great to work with.
We called ahead to verify availability of the car on their site, and they had the car out and ready to see when we arrived.
Unlike other dealerships, the price Nitro told me in person is exactly what was on their web page. At other dealerships I usually have to pull up the dealership website on my phone and show them what they are advertising, not the higher price they just told me.
Nitro did not do the cheap tricks of putting on a face of being your BFF or BS about being religious and therefore honest, or any of the the other confidence building tricks other dealers use. The people at Nitro were genuine and fair.
Nitro did not include any nonsense add-ons that no one asked for in the price quote. Other dealerships will add on $4000-$6000 of worthless nonsense and then tell you they cannot sell the car at the advertised price without it. They argue, "talk to their manager" and then knock off a few things, but not everything, and the fight continues. Nitro Auto does none of this. They offered warranties, etc, but there was no presumption that we must get the add-ons and then fight to get them off.
They did not go through the typical dance of getting your information in order to try to shop around and get the best loan that works for them, not for you. Or change the value of your trade-in depending on whether or not you take add-ons, or take a different loan. The out the door price quote, with the value of the trade-in, was in writing in my hands before we even began to discuss financing.
Obviously, they are going to make money, but they do it without the games, and without leaving you feeling emotionally exhausted, manipulated, or dirty from fighting with pigs in the muck.
